Spokane Playwrights’ Booklight Festival

Presented by Ignite! Community Theatre. Playwrights living within a 75 mile radius of Spokane were invited to submit their original works to be considered for presentation in a Booklight Readers’ Theatre format. Performance dates are: May 11, 7 p.m., at Gonzaga University, Foley Teleconference Center (attached to the library); May 12, 7 p.m., at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 316 E. 24 Ave.; May 13, 2 p.m., at the Blue Door Theatre, 815 W. Garland Ave. The chosen submissions are: “Feminine Care” by Matthew Weaver; “Life Began In A Garden” by Paul F. Ruch; “Powerhouse” by Olivia Dugan; “Sandblasting” by Brian A. Cheney and Kevin Kuban; “The Pick-up Artist” by Mike Noel; and “Twilight Nutcracker” by Sandra Hosking.
