The Bible and Pop Culture
Dr. Linda Schearing will give a lecture about the impact of the Bible on popular culture, including literature, advertising, and humor. She is Professor of Hebrew Scriptures at Gonzaga University, where she has taught since 1993. Her research interests are Hebrew Scriptures, Biblical Interpretation, the Bible and popular cultures, and women’s studies. She is currently working on a book dealing with Adam, Eve and popular culture.
