Local artists, musicians, arts organizations and arts event planners of all ages are invited to attend the series of Arts Commission workshops. These workshops cover all aspects of running the business of being an artist or arts organization. ~~ May 3: Contracts 1- Intellectual Property/Copyright/Internet Issues: everything you need to know about establishing your work, protecting your work and getting it out there. ~~ May 17: Contracts 2- Negotiating venues, liability; A must attend for artist/gallery relations. ~~ May 24: Let’s Put on A Show- How to navigate all the permits to bring your show to life. ~~ May 31: Let’s Put on a Show II- permit nitty gritty, marketing, business planning and legal issues.
