68th Annual Southeast Spokane County Community Fair

Sept. 21-23. This year’s theme is “Poultry in Motion.” Enjoy carnival rides, livestock, royalty coronation, live music, entertainment and more. Opens Friday, 9 a.m. with flag raising ceremony at noon and the carnival opens at 3 p.m., along with livestock and poultry judging. Saturday starts at 7 a.m. with a pancake brakfast at the fire station and check-in for the 5K Harvest Hustle fun run at 7:45 a.m. at Dave’s Auto Body (deadline is Sept. 10, call 291-3219). Exhibit buildings open 9 a.m.-8 p.m., 21st annual Harvest Hoops 3-on-3 basketball tournament for ages 10 and older is noon-6 p.m. (call 928-5839), bingo at 2 p.m., pie eating contest at 3 p.m. Sunday events begin at 9 a.m. with horse show in the ballpark south of the fairgrounds, 10 a.m. Community Worship Service, exhibit buildings open 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Visit www.sespokanecountyfair.org for full schedule.
