Memorial Day Ceremony - Hayden
Begins at 10 a.m. with the laying of the wreath and tolling of boats at Honeysuckle Beach to honor the service men and women who sacrificed their lives in the military to our country. Ceremony includes a prayer, rifle salute and Taps. The main ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at the PFC Robert J. Gordon Veterans Memorial Plaza at Hayden City Hall. An A-10 flyover will kick off the main event at 10:45 a.m. at City Hall, which include a presentation of colors by the Civil Air Patrol, a bagpipe tribute, the National Anthem, placement of a wreath, Mayor’s Welcome, the Memorial Day Address, musical guest Kiara Klinkefus and a rifle salute. Ceremony concludes with Taps, a retiring of colors and refreshments.
