April 9-10. Performances are 3, 4:30, 6 and 7:30 p.m., followed by a tour of the home and seasonal refreshments. Final concert in the 2012-13 series. Tickets available at or by phone. Musicians Nancy and James Schoepflin, with piano and clarinet, perform some of the most beautiful and well-known repertoire of the late 19th century – Schumann Fantasy Pieces, Brahms Sonata in F, and Saint-Saens Sonata. They will also play a new work, the Ballad in Memory of Shirley Horn by noted British film composer Richard Rodney Bennett. Takes place in the 1912 Craftsman bungalow known as the Mack-Kane House. This wonderful restored home was recently featured in American Bungalow Magazine and reflects many of the ideals of that early 20th century movement: a low-pitched roof with wide eaves, a wide front porch, false half-timbering, exterior cedar shingles, and multi-paned windows with an unusual design. Behind a 40-inch wide solid oak door are a large open living room, oak inglenook, and finely crafted built-in wood cabinets, bookcases and bench seats. A fireplace surrounded by Grueby tiles is another outstanding feature.
