Friday’s openings redux: Religion and the law

Dan Webster

So, add some real-life religion and real-lie lawmaking to the local version of Friday's movie-opening scene. Or, at least, religion and lawmaking in terms of leadership.

The new additions make Friday's movie-release schedule look like this:

"Pope Francis: A Man of His Word": A documentary detailing the work of the Pope and his world travels carrying a message of peace. If only everyone would listen.

"RBG": A documentary detailing the life and career of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. If only … fill in whatever floats your boat.

As for the Magic Lantern:

"Finding Your Feet": When Lady Sandra (Imelda Staunton) discovers that her husband of 35 years has been having an affair, she flees to the house of her bohemian sister — and begins her trek toward self-discovery.
