A look at the first day of 2018 in local craft beer:

– Community Pint's "Hair of the Dog" New Year's Day potluck party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. features Founders' CBS (Canadian Breakfast Stout), an imperial coffee chocolate stout aged in maple syrup bourbon barrels.

– Mad Bomber hosts the after party for this year's North Idaho Punk Rock Plunge in Hayden Lake starting at 1, with live music, raffle prizes and food from The Wurst Man in Town truck. 

– Palouse Falls is featured for this month's LocALE Monday souvenir pint glass at No-Li; get one with the order of a Crony brown after 5 p.m. 

Trickster's is open from 3 to 7. 

Iron GoatSelkirk Abbey, Black Label and V Twin, usually open on Mondays, are closed for the holiday.
