– River City's Randall for the weekend is coffee-infused Red.

– Bennidito's has tapped a Clock Tower Imperial IPA (9 percent alcohol by volume, 80 International Bitterness Units).

 

UPDATES THURSDAY 3/30

– Five pFriem beers will pour in a tap takeover today from 5 to 8 at Capone's in Coeur d'Alene.

– Slate Creek and Post Falls face off in a Battle of the Brews on Friday starting at 6 at Rivelle's River Grill in Coeur d'Alene, with prizes and live music.

– Orlison hosts a pint night Friday from 5 to 9 to benefit a local woman battling scleroderma

 

UPDATES TUESDAY 3/28

– The Lantern Tap House's Month of Madness Craft Beer Bracket continues this week with Final Four showdowns between Grand Teton Bitch Creek Brown and Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA today and Wednesday, and Georgetown Johnny Utah pale and Boneyard Diablo Rojo amber on Thursday and Friday; vote by buying $4 pints of your favorite.

– Clem's Gold lager is beer of the week at Orlison, with $3 pints in the downtown taproom. 

 

A look at the upcoming week in local craft beer:

MONDAY

– March IPA Madness continues at Manito Tap House with a fourth weekly round of blind tasters of four Washington IPAs; the top customer vote-getter joins previous winners Georgetown Bodhizafa, Bale Breaker Topcutter and Perry Street in the Final Four showdown next week. 

WEDNESDAY

Pilgrim's presents a free Grand Teton tasting starting at 3:30 including the gose, Sweetgrass American pale, Lost Continent double IPA and barrel-aged Double Vision doppelbock.

– A Yakima Craft Brewing tasting starting at 4 at the North Spokane Growler Guys includes Good Monk Belgian-style pale, 1982 Amber, Vern IPA and Lincoln Ave. coffee stout.

– The #SpoBU Twitter meetup group has its monthly gathering from 4 to 6 at English Setter.

– A pFriem tap takeover at The Steel Barrel starting at 6:30 features the Bend brewery's Belgian Strong Dark, Flanders Red, RyePA, Citrus Zest IPA and Oatmeal Stout (the beer dinner previously scheduled for tonight has been canceled).

– Six Georgetown beers will be on tap for an Idaho Conservation League fundraiser from 5 to 8 at Sandpoint's Idaho Pour Authority – including a special small-batch Kathryn double IPA, regular Bodhizafa IPA, Gusto Crema coffee ale and Roger's Pilsner – along with live music, free appetizers and raffle prizes.

THURSDAY

– The Lantern Tap House has a release party from 5 to 10 for Sparky Red, a hoppy collaboration brew with River City that benefits Spark Central, a nonprofit education center in the West Central neighborhood; Milonga provides live music starting at 8.

– Week 6 of Bellwether's Purple Egyptian Barley Project from 5 to 9 features a Scotch ale and apricot/mustard seed pale brewed with the locally grown and malted grain, accompanied by bread baked with the barley from Culture Breads.  

FRIDAY

– A pFriem tasting from 4 to 7 at the Coeur d'Alene Growler Guys features the Flanders red, pilsner, triple IPA and oatmeal stout. 

– Bottles hosts a Ballast Point tasting starting at 5 including the limited-release Unfiltered Sculpin IPA plus Tart Peach Kolsch, Sour Wench blackberry Berliner Weisse, Mango Even Keel session IPA, Red Velvet chocolate/beet oatmeal stout and Coconut Victory at Sea imperial porter. 

SATURDAY

– Laughing Dog opens the taproom at its new brewery location in Ponderay from 2 to 9 with new beers including American Amber, Dogs of Helles lager and Bock at the Moon plus live music and prizes.

– Idaho Craft Beer Month kicks off with Pints Up Idaho; get souvenir pint glasses with purchases at participating locations including Daft Badger, Laughing Dog, MickDuff’s, Post Falls Brewing, Wallace Brewing and the three Capone’s pubs (Coeur d’Alene/Hayden/Post Falls).
