A look at the upcoming weekend in local craft beer:
FRIDAY
– Bottles in Millwood has a five-beer Bellwether tap takeover starting at 5, with Second Breakfast hefeweizen, the Hazy Disposition and Fibber McGee's IPAs, Patrick Horn brown ale and Fernweh Baltic porter plus food from the Mac Daddy's truck.
– Yakima Craft comes to the North Spokane Growler Guys for a tasting from 5 to 8.
– Pints Alehouse's annual Sour Fest continues with 11 sour beers on tap.
– Iron Goat taps its Goat in the Boat passion fruit IPA collaboration with Bellingham's Boundary Bay, which was brewed for Saturday's Washington Beer Collaboration Festival in Seattle.
– River City releases its seasonal Inconceivable Imperial Pilsner (7 percent ABV).
– And a few blocks west, The Steel Barrel is pouring a new Bull Moose Russian imperial stout from house brewery Little Spokane.
SATURDAY
– Joseph's Grainery in Colfax, which grows the Baronesse barley malted locally by Palouse Pint, hosts its second annual Harvest Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with beers and spirits made with the malt plus live music. Admission is free, but registration is required.
– Twenty breweries and two cideries are lined up for this year's Brewsfest from 1 to 6 p.m. at Silver Mountain Resort in Kellogg, Idaho, along with live music. Tickets are $30.95 in advance, $35.95 at the gate, which includes the gondola ride up the mountain, a souvenir mug and six tasters.
– Selkirk Abbey is the featured brewery for Music, Micros & BBQ from 5 to 9 at the Coeur d'Alene Casino; cost is $18 for all you can eat (beer separate).
– Pints Alehouse's annual Sour Fest continues with 11 sour beers on tap.
