– Bellwether's collaboration gruit release with Four-Eyed Guys on Tuesday, Purple Egyptian Barley Project winner Wednesday and homebrewer competition Thursday (with the winner announced Saturday).

– Hopped Up's releases of a dark sour Wednesday, hazelnut brown Thursday and strong ginger ale Saturday, plus an IPA day Friday.

– Releases by Badass Backyard of a Whitewater Snow IPA on Wednesday, Beaver Run Doppel Weizen on Thursday, Teakettle Grapefruit IPA on Friday and Mojo Oatmeal Stout on Saturday, plus its Cascadian Stout collaboration with No-Li.

– Perry's new Friday Firk-Off with Seattle's Fremont Brewing, each pouring two experimental casks, and its familiar Night of the Living Kolsch on Tuesday.

– The release of a barrel-aged stout on Friday by Whistle Punk, which also will be featured with Fremont in a summer beer party Thursday at Nectar Wine and Beer.

– Iron Goat's fifth anniversary party Saturday.

And that's only the beginning; keep an eye out for much, much more to come.

• New Boundary’s Pints for Paws, a 5K race to benefit Spokanimal C.A.R.E., returns for a second running May 21 starting at the Cheney brewery and continuing along the Columbia Plateau Trail. Entry fee is $35, which includes a custom stainless 24-ounce water bottle, snacks and a hot dog lunch afterward; walkers and well-behaved, vaccinated dogs are welcome.

• Registration is open for the second annual Centennial Beer Chase team relay run on the Centennial Trail, with pit stops at breweries along the way. This year’s event Oct. 7 will reverse course from last year, starting in Spokane and finishing in Coeur d’Alene’s McEuen Park; cost is $225 for a one- or two-person team, $400 for three or four and $575 for five or six.

• Finally, No-Li received the silver medal in the Food Processor of the Year category at this year’s Seattle Business magazine Washington Manufacturing Awards. Taking the gold was another major player in the state’s brewing industry, Yakima Chief-Hopunion.
