UPDATES SATURDAY 10/8

– Cheney's New Boundary is celebrating Eastern Washington University homecoming with $1 off pints today, including special red beers while they last.

– English Setter has brought back its fall Open Season Apple, brewed with fresh, unpasteurized cider from Green Bluff.

 

UPDATE FRIDAY 10/7

– No-Li launches a monthly Firkin First Friday series from 5 to 8 with a blackberry-infused version of its amber ale. 

 

UPDATES THURSDAY 10/6

– Pints Alehouse is pouring what it calls "the greatest lineup of hop-centric beers we have ever tapped at once," including the Bale Breaker Piled High, Fremont Cowiche Canyon and Pfriem Citrus fresh hops; Melvin's Hubert pale, IPA and 2x4 imperial IPA; and Knee Deep's Breaking Bud IPA and Hoptologist imperial IPA. 

– No-Li launches its weekly Thoughtful Thursdays today, with Pumpkin PiePA on tap; 100 percent of proceeds from sales between 5 and 8 goes to the brewery's Giving From the Source community fund.

 

UPDATES WEDNESDAY 10/5

– A Dangerous Outcome strong ale (9.2 percent alcohol by volume, 70 International Bitterness Units) is today's weekly small-batch release at Daft Badger.

– Crafted Tap House hosts a New Belgium tap takeover Thursday night featuring the 25th-anniversary Fat Tire and Friends collaborations with other breweries around the country.

 

A look at the upcoming week in local craft beer:

MONDAY

– G-String Blonde is beer of the week at Twelve String, with $4 pints and $8 growler fills.

– Browne's Addition is the featured neighborhood for this month's LocALE Mondays at No-Li; get a free souvenir pint glass with a purchase of Crony brown ale between 5 and 8 p.m.

– Northern Ales in Kettle Falls has released a sessionable (4.2 percent ABV) Cascade fresh hop pale.

TUESDAY

– No-Li's weekly Flights & Bites starting at 5 features three sliders paired with house beers – chicken and waffle (with beer syrup) and Chai Spice Rise & Grind, fried PB&J and Big Goosey IPA and steak/bleu cheese with Born & Raised IPA – for $15.

WEDNESDAY

– Pilgrim's presents a free Elysian tasting starting at 3:30, including four pumpkin beers – the standard Night Owl, Punkuccino coffee, Dark O' the Moon stout and Great Pumpkin imperial – plus Break Beat and Day Glow IPAs.

THURSDAY

– Twelve String has a release party starting at noon for its Mosaic Fresh Hop Red IPA.

– Iron Goat is the guest for Steady Flow Growler House's Fill Up the Town tap takeover, with food by Shameless Sausages; a portion of proceeds benefits the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital.  

– Nectar Wine and Beer welcomes its October brewery of the month, No-Li, with a tasting from 6 to 8; get a flight of six featured beers for $10 including Switch Hitter golden ale, Red, White and No-Li pale, Spin Cycle red, Crony brown, Born & Raised IPA and barrel-aged Wrecking Ball imperial stout with ancho chilies. 

FRIDAY

– River City releases its Funkadelicious fresh hop pale, brewed with Amarillos from this year's crop. 

– Wallace's North Idaho Mountain Brew observes Oktoberfest today and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a pretzel party tonight.

– Post Falls Brewing kicks off its three-day Oktoberfest celebration at 2 p.m. with live music by Son of Brad at 6, food trucks and a Dr. Roktoberfest beer release.   

– The Steam Plant releases its seasonal Pumpkin Ale and a Boiler 6 India pale lager made with locally produced Palouse Pint malt for First Friday starting at 3, along with new menu items incorporating spent brewing grain (flatbread and pretzel bite samples will be available).

– A Hop Valley tasting at the Coeur d'Alene Growler Guys from 4 to 7 features Double D Blonde, VIP Vanilla Porter and Alpha Centauri imperial IPA. 

– Iron Goat hosts a Goat Grrls group art show by women employees for First Friday; a reception from 5 to 8 features food specials and live music by Buffalo Jones.

– An Oktoberfest beginning at 5 in Post Fall's Q'emlin Park, to benefit the Historical Society, will include beer by Daft Badger, Downdraft, English Setter, Laughing Dog, No-Li, Orlison, Paradise Creek, Post Falls Brewing, Rants & Raves, River City, Selkirk Abbey, Twelve String and Wallace.  

– The Coeur d'Alene Capone's has its 25th anniversary party from 5 p.m. on with specials, prizes and music by The Rub and Working Spliffs.  

– Coeur d'Alene's Grille From Ipanema hosts a brewer's night with Mad Bomber – which makes the house special Ipanema Black Brazilian-inspired ale – from 5:30 to 8, with two-for-one specials on the beer.

– All four of Fremont's single fresh-hop beers – Centennial, Simcoe, Citra and Mosaic – plus the organic Cowiche Canyon Simcoe/Citra blend will be on tap, along with other beers Randalled through fresh hops, for a tasting event starting at 6 at the Steel Barrel.

– Twelve String taps a cask of Roundabout Confusion harvest ale conditioned over chile peppers.

SATURDAY

– Manito Tap House celebrates its fifth anniversary with a Fresh Hop Festival featuring at least 25 beers starting at 11 a.m., plus giveaways (trivia contests and a prize pinata) and $1 off pints (with free logo glasses while supplies last) from 5 to 9; the bar will be standing room only to fit more people inside. 

– Arbor Crest's second annual Oktoberfest today and Sunday from noon to 5 includes a seasonal beer release from in-house Square Wheel Brewing plus a German menu by Catered For You and live music from Benton and Gallagher, and Ryan Larsen.

– North Idaho Mountain Brew's Oktoberfest continues from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Wallace with a full German menu, accordion music and special Figtoberfest beer release.

– Post Falls Brewing's Oktoberfest continues from noon to 10 with live music by Current Flow and the Devon Wade Band.

– Brewery-in-progress Four Eyed Guys will tap a watermelon Beer Goggle Gose at 3 p.m. at Bellwether, where it was brewed.  

SUNDAY

– Arbor Crest's Oktoberfest continues from noon to 5.

– Post Falls Brewing's Oktoberfest continues from noon to 8.
