A few news leftovers from this Thanksgiving week in local craft beer:

– Tickets went on sale Friday for next year's Palouse Cabin Fever Brew Fest, Feb. 11 at the Palouse Community Center.

Look for them at locations including Bellwether and Black Label in Spokane, Hunga Dunga and Rants & Raves in Moscow and Paradise Creek in Pullman. Those are among the participating breweries for the fifth annual event along with Riverport in Clarkston, Laht Neppur in Waitsburg and more to be announced.

Tickets tend to sell out in advance for the popular, partially outdoor event in the tiny town north of Pullman on Highway 27. The cost is $20, which includes a commemorative glass and six 4-ounce tastes (extra tastes $1 each, full pints $3).

– Fast-growing Iron Goat continues to expand its production capacity with the addition of two 30-barrel fermenters. It's also putting a 7-barrel fermenter back into service to create smaller-batch specialties.

– Waddell's has begun brewing its blackberry sour year-round, accompanied by another rotating kettle sour, currently a kiwi peach.

– Badass Backyard Brewing is now open on Sundays from noon to 7, and is offering a 10 percent discount all the time to military, police and fire personnel as well as 911 emergency operators (the owners' former occupation).
