UPDATE FRIDAY 11/18

– River City's Randall for the weekend is River City Red through allspice and orange zest.

– Iron Goat is serving a small-batch Boyd's Smoked Brown (6.9 percent alcohol by volume, 43 International Bitterness Units).

Pilgrim's presents a free Grand Teton tasting Saturday from noon to 2 featuring Fresh Hop IPA and Bitch Creek ESB.  

 

UPDATES THURSDAY 11/17

Selkirk Abbey has released its first strong (8.6 percent alcohol by volume), golden Belgian-style Tripel.

– The vanilla KB Porter, a temporary small-batch offering when V Twin opened last month, is back on tap as a full batch. 

 

UPDATES WEDNESDAY 11/16

– The Steam Plant on Friday releases a small-batch Heirloom Harvest Holiday Ale brewed with locally grown organic pumpkins.

– A Sockeye tasting Friday from 5 to 8 at the North Spokane Growler Guys features Woolybugger wheat, Huggy Bear Dark Sour and Winterfest. 

– New Boundary will have a watch party for the EWU/Portland State football game Friday starting at 7, with two limited releases: Cheney Brewers Reserve (CBR) #1, a golden ale lightly hopped with Cascade (4.5 percent alcohol by volume, 12 International Bitterness Units; $2 pints, no growler fills), and Pine-O-Mite ginger/pineapple pale hopped with Amarillo and Zythos (6, 40). Wear your Eagles gear and get $1 off pours.

– Waddell's has tapped a Brute Squad Imperial IPA (9.5 percent alcohol by volume, 80 International Bitterness Units) in honor of "The Princess Bride."

 

UPDATES TUESDAY 11/15

– This week's Tuesday Flights & Bites menu at No-Li includes cream cheese stuffed sweet peppers with Slacker, a strawberry-filled puff pastry with Amber Ale and sausage/bacon-wrapped asiago stuffed mushrooms with Big Juicy IPA; get it all for $15 after 5 p.m. 

– Harper's Oatmeal Stout is back at Slate Creek following a lengthy absence.

– Wednesday's weekly small-batch release at Daft Badger is a Peppermint Patty Porter with chocolate, peppermint and cold brew coffee.

 

A look at the upcoming week in local craft beer:

MONDAY

– Jam Session IPA is beer of the week at Twelve String, with $4 pints and $9 growler fills.

– The Audubon neighborhood is featured on the souvenir pint glass for this month's LocALE Mondays at No-Li; get one free with a Jet Star imperial IPA purchase between 5 and 8.

FRIDAY

– The Lantern Tap House's fifth annual Flannel Fest today and Saturday features No-Li beers, with happy hour pricing for those who show up wearing flannel; music by Buffalo Jones at 9.

– A Waddell's tap takeover from 5 to 8 at Poole's Public House (North Side) will include Left Hook IPA, Connie Mack's Reserve, Lost Woods Winter Ale and the house Scotch Ale; get a flight of three six-ounce pours for $5 and growlers for $12, plus prize raffles and live music.

– Post Falls Brewing hosts a food drive Friday through Sunday for the Post Falls Food Bank; get $1 off a pint for each shelf-stable item donated.

SATURDAY

– The Coeur d’Alene Growler Guys celebrates its first anniversary with an Avery tasting from 2 to 5 featuring the Demons of Ale series – The Beast grand cru, Samael’s oak-aged strong ale and Mephistopheles stout – plus the bourbon barrel-aged Uncle Jacob’s imperial and Tweak coffee stouts. For $35, you get three-ounce pours of each plus a souvenir snifter, pizza and breadsticks, and the opportunity to buy 32-ounce grunts of the beers; space is limited.

– Young Buck and Bellwether release a collaboration Winter Woods IPA – brewed with Douglas fir resin, birch bark and juniper berries – at Bellwether beginning at 3, with Young Buck's coffee/pepper amber ale also on tap.

– Black Label's Beers for Boobs fundraiser from 4 to 11 (with live music) benefits a local woman battling breast cancer, with $1 from each beer sold supporting the cause plus proceeds from raffles for various items including a Lookout Pass ski getaway for two.

– The Lantern Tap House's Flannel Fest continues, with a '70s karaoke battle between the Lantern and No-Li crews at 10 p.m.
