UPDATE SATURDAY 7/16

– Coeur d'Alene's Filling Station on 5th has announced the lineup for its 12-tap Firestone Walker takeover tonight at 8: the Berliner-style Bretta Weisse and raspberry Bretta Rose; Opal saison; STiVO collaboration pilsner with Russian River; Pale 31 American pale; DBA British pale and the barrel-fermented, unfiltered UDBA; session Easy Jack, black rye Wookey Jack and Luponic Distortion Revolution No. 002 IPAs; Parabola barrel-aged imperial stout and Stickee Monkee barrel-aged quad (enter the raffle for a free growler).

  

UPDATES TUESDAY 7/12

– Daft Badger's weekly Wednesday small-batch release will be a fruit-infused Huckleberry Hound Pale Ale.

– Payette's five fifth-anniversary beers – Tumblewheat Red, Berry'd Alive Smoked Porter, Outlawed and C.R.E.A.M. imperial IPAs and Bo-He-Man imperial pilsner – will pour in a tasting Thursday from 5 to 8 at the North Spokane Growler Guys.  

 

A look at the upcoming week in local craft beer:

MONDAY

– Drop D Stout is the beer of the week at Twelve String, with $4 pints and $8 growler fills.

WEDNESDAY

– Ballast Point will be featured in a free tasting of six IPAs at Pilgrim's starting at 3:30: the session Mango Even Keel, Watermelon Dorado double and regular, grapefruit, pineapple and habanero Sculpin.

THURSDAY

– Bellwether taps a summery Barefoot ginger blonde ale, with the 40 Below dessert shop on hand making snow fluff with the beer (plus other alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions).

FRIDAY

– Deschutes comes to the South Hill Growler Guys for a tasting from 4 to 7, including the new Black Butte XXVIII anniversary imperial porter along with last year's, plus 2014 Abyss imperial stout.

– Beerocracy will be pouring Dogfish Head's 60, 90 and 120 Minute IPAs from 6 to 10, along with merch raffles.

– The Steam Plant will tap a 2015 reserve keg of its Coal Bunker Porter.

SATURDAY

– Newport’s Top Frog celebrates its third anniversary from 1 to 8 p.m. with the grand opening of its long-awaited taproom pouring 13 beers plus live music, games and food. 

– Downdraft introduces a lemon wheat Lemmy Weizenheimer as part of the Treaty Rock-a-Palooza party in Post Falls, with kids' activities, car show, food trucks, live music and more from 3 to 10; proceeds support the Kootenai Boys & Girls Club.

– Special beers from Daft Badger, Downdraft, MickDuff's, Paradise Creek and Post Falls Brewing – developed as collaborations with the Warriors of the Rotating Tap (WORT) homebrew club – will be flowing for Bands-Brews n' BBQs from 5 to 10 p.m. in Plummer, Idaho, with the winner of the crowd voting to be brewed commercially. There's also live music and competition barbecue; admission is $15 for adults, $5 for ages 6-13 (free for kids 5 and under).
