Jolly happy sold-out
If you don’t have tickets for Saturday’s Frost Fest, you might want to quit reading right now (or at least skip to the end), since it’s sold out.
But if you’re already going – or just want to tease your taste buds – here’s a look at the lineup for No-Li’s latest small-batch bash:
Siege of Leningrad: Komrade imperial IPA conditioned for four months on wild rum cherries (8.2 percent alcohol by volume, 70 International Bitterness Units).
The Rise & Fall of Ziggy Stardust: Experimental IPA dry-hopped with Comet and Citra (6.1, 60).
Orange Vanilla Cocoa Nib Stout: Cask-conditioned (6.1, 20).
Hazelnut Brown Ale: Brewed with an assortment of rich malts and toasted hazelnuts (6.4, 12).
Mexican Hot Chocolate: Stout spiced with ancho, guajillo and habanero chilies and cinnamon (7.5, 50).
Copper Clydesdale: Beefed-up version of last year’s fall seasonal Copper Donkey – a Moscow Mule takeoff featuring ginger, lime and Equinox hops – finished with champagne yeast for extra effervescence (11.3, 45).
Spokane Style Whiskey Sour: Kettle sour hopped with lemony Idaho 7 and Lemon Drop plus lemon zest, blended with whiskey barrel-aged Copper Donkey and topped with a maraschino cherry, to mimic the cocktail (7.4, 54).
Log Cabin Root Beer: Big Bang barleywine aged in bourbon barrels over sasparilla (10.5, 45).
Cranberry/Rosemary Born & Raised IPA: Cask-conditioned (7, 89).
Frosty’s Bonafide Belgian: Dubbel dosed with fresh ginger and orange peel (7.2, 27).
Triticale Roggen-Style Ale: Cross between a hefeweizen and roggenbier, using the wheat/rye grain hybrid (4.4, 16).
Barrel-Aged Tandem: Imperial red hopped with fruity, cherry/orange El Dorado and Amarillo, aged in bourbon barrels (9.5, 50).
That Tandem, by the way, will be released in 22-ounce bottles at the event and make its way to selected stores soon – for a little taste of Frosty, tickets or not.
