UPDATE FRIDAY 9/2

– A Hazelnut and Tiramisu Stout is today's First Friday firkin at River City, with Riverkeeper IPA Randalled through grilled pineapple on tap for tomorrow.

– No-Li also has a firkin tonight, Jet Star imperial IPA over grapefruit and Calypso hops.

 

UPDATE THURSDAY 9/1

– Bellwether is offering $4 pints of three summer seasonal beers – Barefoot ginger blonde, the English-style Halfdan the Mild and smoky, sour, Nordic-inspired Kulning – with the purchase of a plate from the CRATE food truck from 5 to 8.

 

UPDATES WEDNESDAY 8/31

– Today's weekly small-batch release at Daft Badger is a hoppy Phenomen-Ale Pale (6 percent ABV, 64 IBU).

– Downdraft has new, longer hours (now including Mondays) starting tomorrow: Monday-Thursday, 2-9 p.m.; Friday, 2-10; Saturday, noon-10; Sunday, 1-8. 

 

UPDATES TUESDAY 8/30

– Pilgrim's presents a free tasting of imported beers Wednesday at 3:30 with Kyle Baas from Boise's Idaho Wine Merchant, including Hofbrau Original Lager and Oktoberfest, Vanderghinste's Oud Bruin brown and Cuvee des Jacobins red Flanders-style sours, Bosteels Pauwel's Kwak Belgian strong pale and Het Anker Van de Keizer Blauw strong dark.      

– River City is pouring $2 pints on Wednesday in honor of departing head brewer Moose Sanders.

– Daft Badger is offering one free back-to-school pint to area educators on Thursday. 

– Get a free pint of Perry Street beer while shopping at Spokane Alpine Haus during Thursday's End of Summer Party from 4 to 9, and a free growler fill at the brewery with purchases of $100 or more.

 

A look at the upcoming week in local craft beer:

MONDAY

– Temperatures aside, the Steam Plant tonight is tapping a keg of last year's Stack Frost Winter Ale.

– Today's your last chance to get this month's souvenir Manito/Cannon Hill neighborhood pint glass at No-Li's LocALE Monday, free from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Slacker purchase (Hillyard is up in September).

– Arpeggio Pale Ale is beer of the week at Twelve String, with $4 pints and $8 growler fills.

WEDNESDAY

– A craft beer festival at the Kendall Yards Night Market from 4 to 8 will feature offerings from Beer Valley, Orlison, Paradise Creek, Trickster's and Wander along with live music.

– The #SpoBU Twitter meetup group holds its monthly gathering from 4 to 6 at Bennidito's Brewpub.

THURSDAY

– The Steel Barrel taproom and Zona Blanca ceviche bar at the downtown brewery incubator begin opening at 11 a.m. for lunch.

– Moscow's Rants & Raves is the featured brewery for this week's Brews Cruise on Hayden Lake; tickets are $39, which includes beer samples and hors d'ouevres.

FRIDAY

– Steady Flow Growler House opens its three-day first-anniversary celebration with a One Tree cider tap takeover from 6 to 8.

– The Steam Plant taps its annual Oktoberfest lager for First Friday.

SATURDAY

– The anniversary celebration continues at Steady Flow Growler House with a parking lot party from 2 to 6 featuring a special firkin of Paradise Creek's Hop Hammer IPA.

– Schweitzer Mountain Resort’s 24th annual Fall Fest from Saturday through Monday will offer more than 80 beers and ciders from the region and beyond along with wine, food and art vendors and eight bands over the weekend. Beer pricing runs from $12 to $35, depending on the size and type of tasting glass, which includes your first three fills.

SUNDAY

– Steady Flow Growler House wraps up its first-anniversary celebration with an Elysian/Lagunitas tap takeover.
