Coeur d’Alene is getting in on the Oktoberfest action this weekend as well.

The Coeur d’Alene Downtown Association’s annual celebration runs today from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 8, with the ceremonial tapping of the first keg today at 5 in the main tent area at Second and Sherman.

Beer offerings there and at other participating businesses downtown include Oktoberfest Marzens from Beck’s, Goose Island and Widmer, as well as Downdraft’s Anonymous Amber, River City Huckleberry, Iron Horse Irish Death, Odell IPA and Widmer’s Hefeweizen and Upheaval IPA.

There’s also German-style food and live music from Bakin’ Phat (jump blues) today from 5 to 8, the Coeur d’Alene Big Band (swing, plus polka!) on Saturday from 1 to 4, and Shiner (classic rock) Saturday from 5 to 8.

Admission is $20, which includes a souvenir mug, six beer tickets and the music. Tickets are available in the Plaza Shops at 210 Sherman Avenue starting today at 3:30 and Saturday at 12:30.
