UPDATE WEDNESDAY 6/24: Today's small-batch Year of the Goat offering at Iron Goat is a Pineapple Blonde Shandy, the brewery's Trashy Blonde infused with pineapple in the fermenter and served with a splash of pineapple juice.

In addition to those two beer dinners we told you about yesterday – with Orlison on Tuesday at Clover, and Big Barn and Twelve String on Thursday at Tamarack – here’s a quick look at the local week ahead in craft beer:

– When it opens Wednesday at 3 p.m., Hopped Up is tapping a special keg of its dry, lightly tart huckleberry cream ale, dubbed Hucklebeardy on behalf of the Spokane Beard & Mustache club (which meets there Thursday). Fifty cents from each pint sold goes to the club’s designated charity, Safety Net, which helps former foster youth transition into society.

– Area 51 Taphouse at the north side Onion hosts a Deschutes pint night on Wednesday starting at 5 p.m.

– Fifty cents from every New Belgium beer bought at Capone’s in Coeur d’Alene on Thursday goes to BikeCDA’s community bicycle programs, with a raffle at 7:30 for a Fat Tire bike (ride your own bike there for an extra raffle ticket).

– The Capone's in Hayden on Thursday is raffling items in conjunction with its featured brewery for the month, River City, including brewery merchandise, tours and taproom beer packages, as well as a $100 Capone's gift card.

– Eight area breweries are pouring at the inaugural HOPFEST at Hoopfest beer festival on Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. as part of the downtown street tournament’s new practice session on Post Street next to City Hall. Admission is $10, which includes your first two drink tickets.

– Sierra Nevada will be featured at the South Hill Growler Guys on Friday from 4 to 7, with the pale, Scotch, Summerfest, and River Ryed and Southern Hemisphere Harvest IPAs on tap.

– Nine beers from 10 Barrel – ranging from the light, tart Raspberry and Cucumber Crush Berliner weissbiers, to Rare Breed Bourbon Barrel Imperial Red – will be on tap at Pints Alehouse on Saturday at 3 p.m., with a brewery rep on hand with schwag.

As always, keep an eye out here for more info on everything happening through the week.
