Ramblin’ Road closed to traffic

Rick Bonino

Ramblin’ Road Craft Brewery has quietly closed its taproom until further notice.

While its website and Facebook page still list regular hours, recent visitors to the Gonzaga-area brewery have been greeted by a sign saying it was closed for maintenance.

“Not exactly sure on the timeline, but taproom should re-open by the end of the summer,” owner/brewer Brian Guthrie said in an email. “We are still brewing beer and filling barrels in the meantime.”

Guthrie did not respond to messages asking about the reason for the closure.

The Belgian-inspired brewery, which opened in February 2014, has increasingly focused on wild and sour styles, many of them barrel-aged.
