Super suds
Whether you’re looking for a place to watch the big game tomorrow or some beer for your own party, local breweries can help.
Among the events and specials on tap:
- The new Daft Badger in Coeur d’Alene opens Sunday at 11 and will have hourly raffle drawings for logo pint glasses, growlers, hats and T-shirts (one ticket per beer bought), along with food specials including a house-made jalapeno cheddar sausage sandwich for $3, and $10 growler fills.
- In Sandpoint, both Laughing Dog and MickDuff’s will have beer and food specials during the game along with prize drawings.
- Budge Brothers has hosted Seahawks game day potlucks all season, and will open Sunday at 2:30 p.m. for the grand finale.
- Big Barn on Green Bluff, which just added Sundays from noon to 5 to its winter hours (along with Fridays and Saturdays), also is having a potluck and will stay open late for a postgame celebration (presumably).
- Perry Street, usually open all day Sunday, will close early at 3 p.m. but is offering $2 off growler fills from 11 a.m. until then, plus a free pint while you wait.
- Slate Creek, typically closed on Sundays, will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $10 growler fills, as well as today from 2 to 10 p.m.
- Several other breweries that are closed Sunday have growler deals today, including Hopped Up ($8 fills from 2 to 9 p.m.), Selkirk Abbey (all fills $10 from 1 to 8 p.m.), Twelve String (discount $12 fills of three IPAs – Jam Session, C#7#5 and Rhythmic Rye – from noon to 10 p.m.) and Iron Goat (advertising $10 fills for Seahawks fans, $50 fills for Patriots fans from 2 to 9 p.m.).
