Some random notes from a busy week in local craft beer:

– Downdraft has added a 60-inch HDTV and is opening on Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. for football season, starting tomorrow. Bring a crockpot to share and get $3 pints and $5 growler fills.

– Also in Post Falls, Selkirk Abbey on Thursday brewed a second batch of the big, much-missed St. Joseph’s imperial saison, previously produced only for the Belgian-themed brewery’s first anniversary in June 2013. Look for it in October.

The 12° dark strong, which likewise hasn’t been seen for two years, will also make its return this fall in an improved version using an authentic Belgian specialty malt that wasn’t available back then. And the Scotch-style Selkirk Grace will be available again in September, this time in 22-ounce bottles as well as draft.

– Spokane’s Bellwether Brewing has set a target date of Sept. 22 for its opening at 2019 N. Monroe. The single-barrel nanobrewery will produce such Old World styles as braggots (a honeyed beer-mead hybrid) and gruits (spiced, but non-hopped) as well as more modern recipes.

– And on a sweet note, the Craft Beer and Cookie Fest, pairing local brews with Girl Scout cookies, has announced its return Oct. 24 to the Girl Scouts Program Center in Spokane.
