– Elysian will be featured in a "Meet the Maker" event Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in Area 51 Taphouse at the north Onion Bar & Grill. Look for The Immortal IPA, Huckleberry Sour, The Dread oak-aged imperial stout and Punkuccino coffee pumpkin ale,

– Wednesday's small-batch offerings are a Belgian pale finished with hand-picked local plums at Iron Goat (6 percent alcohol by volume, 92 International Bitterness Units), and a big, malty Scotch Scotchy Scotch Ale (9.2) at Daft Badger in Coeur d'Alene. 

– Ecliptic Brewing owner/brewmaster John Harris, a legend in Northwest circles for his work with Deschutes and Full Sail, visits Manito Tap House for a pint night Thursday at 6 p.m. featuring Spica Pilsner, Orbiter and Canopus IPAs and Ultra Violet Blackberry Sour. 

 

A look ahead at a particularly jam-packed week in local beer:

– Tickets go on sale today for the sixth annual Inland Northwest Craft Beer Festival, Oct. 2-3 at Avista Stadium. Cost is $20 in advance, $25 at the gate, including six 5-ounce samples.

– After two years in the cellar, Manito Tap House is pulling out a keg of Deschutes’ barrel-aged Black Butte XXV imperial porter – brewed with dates, figs and cocoa nibs, and conditioned with black currants – Tuesday at 6 p.m.

– A Sierra Nevada night Thursday starting at 5 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene’s Filling Station on Fifth will feature Kellerweis hefeweizen, Hop Hunter IPA, Hoptimum imperial IPA and Ovila abbey tripel, with hourly drawings for filled growlers of Hop Hunter.

– No-Li welcomes seven visiting breweries to The ‘KAN JamBEERee on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Seattle-area Black Raven and Schooner Exact, Portland’s  Alameda and Base Camp, Eugene’s Oakshire, Boise’s Payette and California’s Firestone Walker. There also will be food trucks and live music; advance admission is $20, which includes six drink tokens.

– Hopped Up’s third annual Art, Music and Beer festival, Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m., includes art displays, craft vendors, live music, food trucks and a special small-batch sour.

– Budgefest returns to the parking lot of Budge Brothers on Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m. with a Sonnenberg’s sausage barbecue, DJ music, beer specials and prizes.

– Laughing Dog celebrates its 10th anniversary Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with live music and the release of a barrel-aged imperial rye ale.

– New Belgium is the sponsor for Saturday’s final installment of The Lantern Tap House’s summer concert series, with $4 pint specials starting at 4 p.m. and music by Perenne and Feral Anthem at 9.
