Six for Thursday

Rick Bonino

In case your Thirsty Thursday plans still are up in the air, here are a few options for your consideration:

– A Firestone Walker tap takeover at The Flying Goat from 5 to 8 p.m. will feature the DBA English-style pale, Easy Jack session IPA and three specialties being pulled from the Goat's cellar: Velvet Mocha Merlin coffee-infused oatmeal stout, Lil Opal barrel-aged saison and Sucuba barrel-aged barleywine.

– Sixth-anniversary events continue at The Lantern Tap House with a tasting of Dogfish Head’s 60, 90 and 120 Minute IPAs starting at 6 p.m. Ten-ounce pours will go for $5.

– Enoteca in Post Falls is pouring all three versions of Ballast Point’s tasty Sculpin IPA – the standard, Grapefruit and Habanero – along with the limited-release Sea Monster Imperial Stout.

– Trickster's is releasing the latest, pumped-up version of its Hops on Parade double IPA. Or you’d rather do your drinking at home, 22-ounce bombers of the big, caramelly, limited-release Daedric Druid stout are now available at the Coeur d’Alene taproom.

– The Cask Thursday offering at Twelve String is a newly surfaced cask of the Volume 3 anniversary imperial red dry-hopped with fruity Galaxy.

– Both of the local Total Wine stores are offering “Beer Me in Belgium” classes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. covering the history and brewing methods of Belgian beer styles, and beers from other countries that are inspired by them. Cost is $15; register online here (North Side) or here (Spokane Valley).
