Thursday night is Mexican beer night

Dan Webster

As native Californians, my brother and I love Mexican food. So as we were driving west through the Spokane Valley last night, we spotted the Rancho Viejo sign and decided to stop in. Result? The chips were OK, my fish tacos were meh, but my brother's carne asada quesadilla was delicious.

I'll know what to order next time.

Now, the most important part: The frosty beer was just the right temperature. I was a bit confused, though. Drinking a Negra Modelo in a Tecate glass seemed a bit disrespectful. But I did it anyway.

With all appropriate apologies to my beer-enthusiast friends, I have to say I love my Mexican beer.
