Joan Fontaine, 1917-2013

Dan Webster

And yet another Hollywood veteran star has died. Joan Fontaine, who won a Best Actress Oscar in 1942 for the film "Suspicion," has passed at the age of 96. Fontaine, born Joan de Beauvoir de Havilland, was the sister of another Oscar-winning actress, Olivia de Havilland ("To Each His Own," "The Heiress"). Fontaine was nominated two more times, in 1940 for "Rebecca" and in 1943 for "The Constant Nymph."
