Cronuts? Nothing to lose your socks over

During a trip last week to New York, I saw a few stories about the "cronut." I even tried to sample one, though I wasn't willing to brave the lines at the spot that claims to have invented them, and the Brooklyn bakery at which I might have bought a variation was temporarily closed.

So I was interested to read the reaction from one of my favorite food bloggers, Auckland food writer Delaney Mes, whose work can be sampled here.

Spoiler alert: She isn't conpletely complimentary.
