The ice cream is super rich at The Scoop

Dan Webster

Some of the best ice cream in Spokane can be found in the most unexpected places. Take The Scoop, for example. It's located on a side street, near Wilson Elementary School, in a spot you wouldn't expect to find any retail services, much less some of the best treats imaginable.

The above scoop was of salted caramel and vanilla ice cream. And while I prefer rocky road or chocolate chip (at least the way the Italians prepare it), I have to admit that it was pretty tasty.

So if you're in the neighborhood, or even if you aren't, make an effort to check out The Scoop. Especially while the summer lasts.

If nothing else, your kids won't be confined to the school yard.
